Metadata Details: Administrative units

The data set of administrative units according to the Register of Spatial Units contains boundaries, names and codes for the following spatial units: the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the entities of the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska and the Brčko District, cantons in the Federation of BiH, and local self-government units in the Federation of BiH.

The Register of Spatial Units contains alphanumeric data on spatial units. The Federal Statistical Office updates data on spatial units based on data submitted to it by the competent authorities. Updating of all data on spatial units is carried out in the RPJ in such a way that the current status and all previous statuses remain recorded in the database. Data on spatial units are kept in accordance with regulations by the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning, the Institute for Public Administration, the Federal Statistical Office and the competent municipal services.
