The Sarajevo Canton Digital Platform enables easy online access to databases, information and public services. The goal is to provide modern, efficient and user-oriented e-services and improve communication and work of administrative bodies, cantonal institutions and public enterprises. The platform is the backbone of the digital transformation of the Sarajevo Canton – it connects databases in real time, enables their analysis and visualization and contributes to the development of modern e-government. An integral part of the Sarajevo Canton Digital Platform is the register of protected, registered and previously protected heritage assets of the Sarajevo Canton, which represents the official record of cultural, historical and natural heritage. The Register contains assets of different categories of protection: protected assets, previously protected assets and registered assets. This classification allows for different levels of protection, restoration and supervision measures. The Register includes immovable heritage (monuments, architectural ensembles, archaeological sites), movable heritage (art objects, archival materials) and intangible cultural heritage (customs, music, crafts). Registration in the register is the legal basis for the preservation and interpretation of the value of cultural heritage. The register also serves as a tool for planning restoration interventions, education and promotion of Sarajevo's cultural identity. It is an important source of data for researchers, institutions, but also citizens who want to learn about the rich heritage of their region. Its updating and public availability contribute to transparency and sustainable heritage preservation.
