Metadata Details: Analysis of the situation and review of the category of protected areas in the Sarajevo Canton (PHASE II)

The project Analysis of the Status and Review of the Category of Protected Areas in the Sarajevo Canton (Phase II) was implemented for the needs of the Cantonal Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage of Sarajevo, and was established with the aim of reviewing the success of measures that are implemented in protected natural areas for the purpose of protecting biological, geological and cultural diversity. The project covers three protected natural areas in the Sarajevo Canton (Skakavac Natural Monument, Vrelo Bosne Natural Monument and Bijambare Protected Landscape). The basis of the project task was the existing documentation relating to the subject area, as well as field research on the basis of which the status, further protection measures and the determination of the protection category are determined.
