Metadata Details: Update to the study of optimal energy supply in the Sarajevo Canton for a period of 20 years

The aim of the Study is to update the current state of the energy production, transport, distribution and consumption systems, determine the level of capacity utilization, analyze energy consumption and predict future needs in the Sarajevo Canton in order to be able to formulate proposals in the field of energy spatial, urban and environmental opportunities for the implementation of general and specific development goals of the Sarajevo Canton. This study presents a thorough overview of the energy sector of the Sarajevo Canton and proposes specific measures to achieve energy efficiency, reduce CO₂ emissions and increase the integration of renewable energy sources. Given the projected energy needs, key goals by 2050 include reducing energy consumption, modernizing infrastructure, and reducing pollution and dependence on fossil fuels. The implementation of the recommended scenarios requires coordinated efforts of all sectors, with engagement in regulatory, institutional and financial reforms, in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development and energy efficiency in the Sarajevo Canton.
