Metadata Details: Sarajevo Canton Traffic Study

The approach to the preparation of the separate study is based on the real need to direct the process of improving the transport system in a developmental way. Guidelines for the general development of the Canton for the period until 2023 are necessary. The crucial factors influencing the life functions in the city, the size and structure of the city, the economy and social relations are the structure of the transport system and the management of subsystems in such a structure. Therefore, efficiency, capacity, speed, technology, quality, costs and environmental impact are indicators that should be included in the optimization of the transport system and its management. The transport study consists of several separate studies, which are: a) Separate Central transport management in the territory of the Sarajevo Canton b) Separate Environmental impact - Sarajevo Canton c) Separate Goods flows in the territory of the Sarajevo Canton d) Separate Road network e) Separate Impact of socio-economic parameters on the volume of traffic (movements) f) Separate Traffic analysis on the road network of the Sarajevo Canton g) Separate Stationary traffic h) Separate Public passenger transport, urban and suburban i) Separate Railway transport j) Separate Air transport.
