The start of the creation of a digital topographic map of Bosnia and Herzegovina was formalized by an agreement between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on 23.10.2002. This project was implemented for three years. One of the goals of the project was to create the prerequisites for the independent creation of sheets of the TK25 digital map of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project was completed in 2005, when the digital maps were officially handed over to the Ministry for use (JICA, 2003). The analogue state TK25 was created according to the applicable regulations (of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. the former SFRY), in the Gauss-Kriger projection (the reference surface is the Bessel ellipsoid). The UTM projection was also applied to the state topographic map (the reference surface is the WGS 84 ellipsoid). Topographic signs are of a classic appearance (according to the existing Topographic Key for TK25). Based on the analyses and research conducted, an assessment of the accuracy of cartographic products was also made. Horizontal accuracy: 3 to 9 m Height accuracy: 3 to 6 m Attribute accuracy: 98.2% Temporal consistency: 96.8% Logical consistency: 96.8% Content completeness: 97.4%
