The area covered by the Plan boundary, covering an area of 3.65 ha, is bounded by an approximately regular triangular contour, which is tangent to the north by the Miljacka River, to the south by Zagrebačka Street, and to the west by a part of Grbavička Street in the direction that leads to the Miljacka River bed. The area covered by the Plan boundary represents a built and completed urban and architectural unit. Taking into account all the shortcomings in the spatial organization, the goal of the Plan was to rehabilitate the Crafts Center building and solve stationary traffic to the extent possible. The plan envisages an underground garage with two entrances/exits, the first from the First Transvezala, while the second is from the internal communication in Zagrebačka Street. The ground floor level is planned as a combination of a plateau and a green area with elements of urban furniture. The Crafts Center building was planned by the Urban Design Project adopted in 1989, however, the building was not built in accordance with the adopted documentation. The building has a bazaar concept, with a covered internal communication from which individual facilities can be entered on both sides. The current state of the building is such that due to mutually inconsistent and inadequate interventions on the building, the appearance of the building has been damaged, which has lost its compositional and formative component, and parts of the building that were not built according to the project documentation further damage the appearance of the building. In connection with the aforementioned Plan, a redesign of the building was led, based on the conceptual design, with the aim of achieving a unique visual and functional expression.
