The Register of Streets, Squares and Bridges of the Sarajevo Canton contains the names of streets, squares and bridges classified by municipalities in the Sarajevo Canton. The said register is maintained and updated by the Institute for Development Planning of the Sarajevo Canton based on the Decision on marking streets, squares, parks, bridges, institutions and establishments with names and building numbers in the territory of the Sarajevo Canton ("Official Gazette of the City of Sarajevo" No. 7/94) and (Official Gazette of the Sarajevo Canton" No. 12/06). The street database contains attributes on the length of the street, street name, description, signs as unique identifiers, public transport, road category, old street name, etc. The database on bridges and squares contains data such as name, location, photo, identification mark, etc. Data on the names of streets, squares and bridges is submitted by the Government of the Sarajevo Canton (Service for Parliamentary Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton) at the proposal of the Commission for marking, preserving and nurturing historical events and personalities.
