The Sarajevo Canton Development Strategy 2021-2027. is a strategic document that guides development, sets development priorities and represents a roadmap for the overall development of the Sarajevo Canton (KS), taking into account all its dimensions: economic, social, environmental and spatial. The development strategy establishes the goals and priorities of the development of the KS, the method of their achievement, the financial and institutional framework for implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. Strategic development planning is required by European practices and dynamics of strategic planning, and the allocation of funds from EU pre-accession funds requires the preparation of strategic development documents. The Sarajevo Canton Development Strategy for the period 2021-2027. is an umbrella document that should help all participants contribute to positive changes and a higher quality of life for all citizens equally. The Sarajevo Canton Development Strategy for the period 2021-2027. presents the directions of change and measurable development that can be achieved if the preparation and implementation of annual budgets, public investment programs, but also individual strategic megaprojects through the work programs of all institutions is well coordinated and clear. The document consists of two key parts; the first part explains the methodological approach aligned with the requirements set by the existing legal framework, and the second, which, by involving a large number of participants from the public, private and non-governmental sectors, resulted in proposed measures and concrete actions.
