Data on the population of the Federation of BiH and its demographic characteristics include data on the number of inhabitants, vital events (births and deaths, marriages and divorces) and population migration.
Population statistics use administrative data sources: - civil registry books of local/local registry offices (births, deaths and marriages), - municipal courts of the Federation of BiH competent for divorces and - records of permanent residence/stay of citizens for which the Agency for Identification Documents, Registration and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) is competent for population migrations.
