The forest management plan is the basic planning framework for forest management based on the principle of sustainable production and income, while preserving and improving biodiversity and other beneficial forest functions. The forest management plan is prepared for a ten-year management period at the level of the forest management area as a whole, and in exceptional cases it can be prepared at the level of a management unit.
