Geographical names consist of three groups of geospatial data. Geographical names of relief (toponymy), hydrography, and villages/cities. Geographical names for relief and hydrography are derived from the digitalization of topographic maps of scale 1:25000. Geographical names of villages and cities are taken from the administrative-territorial divisions with Law 115/2014 "On the administrative-territorial division of local government units in the Republic of Albania". The data are in conformity with the standard with the Council of Ministers No. 142, dated 22.02.2017, On the approval of the document "State Standards for Technical Specifications of Geospatial Information in Albania - Topic: Geographical names".
