The 2025 Satellite Orthophoto covers 95% of the territory of the Republic of Albania from satellite images collected during the period 05 May 2025 to 13 September 2025. It was obtained through the “Satellite Service” project funded by the Albanian Government and aims to monitor the Albanian territory with advanced technology. ASIG produced the 2025 Satellite Orthophoto based on the Council of Ministers' Decision No. 863, dated 27.12.2022 “On some additions and amendments” to the Council of Ministers' Decision No. 147, dated 20.2.2013, “On the Approval of the Regulation "On the Organization and Functioning of the State Authority for Geospatial Information".
The 2025 Satellite Orthophoto covers 95% of the territory of the Republic of Albania from satellite images collected during the period 05 May 2025 to 13 September 2025. ASIG created the 2025 Satellite Orthophoto by mosaicking orthorectified satellite images with a resolution of 50 cm/pixel based on the footprint layer of the satellite images. This layer will be updated until the full coverage of the territory of the Republic of Albania for the year 2025.
