Orthophotos created with UAV technology enable the provision of updated geospatial data for areas with high development intensity. The data are in accordance with the State Standard for Technical Specifications of Geospatial Information in Albania - Topic: "Orthoimaging", approved by Council of Ministers No. 397, dated 19.06.2019. The process is supported by Council of Ministers No. 753, dated 13.12.2024 "On the organization and functioning of the State Authority for Geospatial Information". This layer includes the photography of the following areas: 1-Dhermi Photography, October 14-15, 2024. 2- Kavaja Photography, March 19-20, 2025. 3- Lezhë Photography, June 3-5, 2025. 4- Shëngjin Photography, July 14-16, 2025. 5- Librazhd Photography, July 1, 2025. 6- Pogradec Photography, July 23-25, 2025.

QUALITY AND CONFORMANCE

Data quality and standards conformance

Data generated by the Remote Sensing Data Processing Directorate, UAV Imagery Processing Sector based on the Annual Plan and Orders from the Director General. Coverage areas have resolution (GSD) = 4cm pixel with image combination, with 50% transverse - 70% (standard) coverage to create orthophoto mosaics. For the realization of itineraries based on the area of interest, the RTK/PPK connection is used, with the ALBCORS system for orthorectification and georeferencing with a maximum accuracy of 3-4 cm. Elevation corrections are performed using online terrain models (DTM/DSM) during surveying and the EGM2008 Model during processing. Automatic recording of metadata and detailed reports for each product such as date, location, coordinates and elevations. Orthophotos and metadata are stored in standard formats (e.g., GeoTIFF). Manual organization of data on the server is done by date, location and project. Data publication is carried out through the National Geoportal by the Directorate of National GIS and Geoportal.
