A public water management company was established to carry out water activities in a certain territory, to manage water facilities for the regulation of water courses and for flood protection on waters of the first order (including dams with reservoirs and retention), water facilities for protection against erosion and floods in reservoir basins and water facilities for drainage that are in public ownership, and takes care of their intended use, maintenance and preservation.
