Digital orthophoto (DOP) is a georeferenced digital image of a part of the earth's surface of certain dimensions that has the characteristics of orthogonal projection, obtained by orthorectification of digital aerial photogrammetric images, digital satellite images or images obtained by other remote sensing methods.DOP is a digital topographic basemap that has all the information registered on the image since it was made (much more information compared to classic topographic plans or maps) but also all the measurement properties of topographic plans and maps of the appropriate level of detail.DOP of resolution 2.5 m based on satellite acquisition from epoch 2011-2012.
Republic Geodetic Authority has digital orthophoto of resolution 2.5 m for the territory of Republic of Serbia obtained from satellite platforms SPOT-5 from the epoch 2011-2012.RMSE of the position coordinates is 5 m and is calculated as the difference between the values of the position coordinates of the control points measured on orthophoto and their values determined by independent measurement of higher accuracy in the field.Validity of the data set has been confirmed and is in accordance with the Rulebook on topographic survey and topographic and cartographic products.
