Geodetic reference CORS network of Serbia - AGROS, is a permanent service of precise GNSS positioning and navigation for the territory of Serbia. By establishing of AGROS CORS network a necessary precondition was met enabling overcoming the problems regarding reference geodetic datums in Serbia. The AGROS system consists of 30 CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station), relatively regularly distributed, at an average inter-distance of about 70 km.
The RGA CORS network defines and keeps up-to-date in real time the Serbian national reference coordinate system, which is used as a geographic backbone for real estate and utility surveying, topographic and state border surveying, hydrographic surveying, aerial photogrammetric surveying, as well as support for modern methods of geospatial data collection (remote sensing and LIDAR). The AGROS network of GNSS sensors provides a reliable geodetic infrastructure for the construction works efficiency during capital investment projects realization, the construction of engineering facilities, and also finds application in geodynamic and geophysical scientific research.
