For the Topographic map 1:250 000, the primary method of collecting topographic objects is the digitization of DOF, and topographic maps in the scale of 1: 200 000, while the methods for supplementing the content are collection from existing data sources and other subsystems of geographic-cartographic information system (GIKS).
The register of spatial units was used as a source for the borders of administrative units on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
ERM (EuroRegionalMap) database data is used as a source for borders between neighboring countries.
Data from the Institute for Nature Protection of Serbia and the Provincial Institute for Nature Protection were used as a source for the boundaries of protected areas.
