Administrative division at the county level obtained from the updated map of the administrative-territorial boundaries of local self-government units approved by DCM No. 360 dated 29.05.2019. The external borders of local self-government units, which delimit the counties, create the boundaries of the counties according to Law No. 115/2014 "On the administrative-territorial division of local government units in the Republic of Albania". The data are in accordance with the standard approved by DCM No. 1078, dated 23.12.2015, On the approval of the document "State Standards for Technical Specifications of Geospatial Information in Albania, Topic - Administrative Unit Boundaries".

This version of the district boundaries is derived from the updated map of the administrative-territorial boundaries of local self-government units approved by the Council of Ministers No. 360, dated 29.05.2019. The external borders of the local self-government units that border the districts serve as the district boundaries. Since the border line of the border units has changed, the published border for the districts has also been derived.
