The Public Institutions layer contains information on central and local institutions, which are: Regional Employment Offices, ADISA Offices, Fire Departments, Prefectures, Sha Posts, OSHEE, Administrative Units, Ministries, Institutions Dependent on the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, Institutions Dependent on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Institutions Dependent on the Ministry of Defense, Institutions Dependent on the Ministry of Culture, Institutions Dependent on the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, Institutions Dependent on the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Institutions Dependent on the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Institutions Dependent on the Ministry of Interior, Institutions Dependent on the Prime Minister's Office, Sports Federations, Regional Directorate of the National Housing Authority, Regional Directorates of the Road Transport Service, Regional Directorates of Social Insurance, Tax Directorates, Customs Branches, Municipalities, Embassies and State Cadastre Agencies. The data is in accordance with the standard of the Council of Ministers No. 998, dated 09.12.2020, On the approval of the document "State Standards for Technical Specifications of Geospatial Information in Albania - Topic: Urban infrastructure and government services".

Geospatial data for Public Institutions have been created by the collaboration of ASIG with the institutions responsible for the subordinate offices. ASIG has carried out the mapping of institutions according to the lists received from the responsible authorities. Administrative and social government services: such as public administrations, civil protection shelters, schools, hospitals, etc. The types of places that are usually presented as "points of interest" can be locations with base points of a number of categories of government services of engineering infrastructure.
