The National Register of Large Dams (RMD) 2021 was conceived by the National Committee of Large Dams (NCLD) with its executive structure at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy (MIE). The Technical Secretariat of Large Dams (TSLD) in support of Law No. 8681, dated 02.11.2000 “On the design, construction, operation and maintenance of dams” and the Council of Ministers No. 147, dated 18.03.2004 “Regulation on the safety of dams and dams”. The National Register of Large Dams is a database created by processing the technical-legal documentation of the passports of large dams sent to the NCLD by their users/administrators based on the Council of Ministers Instruction No. 4, dated 18.07.2003 and in accordance with the General Instruction of the KKDM and the relevant form approved by the Decision of the KKDM no. 02, dated 21.09.2020. The data are in accordance with the standard approved by the Council of Ministers No. 829, dated 7.10.2015, On the approval of the document "State Standards for Technical Specifications of the Geospatial Information Infrastructure in Albania - Topic Hydrography".
